Oppo’s phone sales momentum is very interesting. We saw the company’s sales numbers drop, and once it stopped recognizing money from OLED TV… Then came the Oppo Find X series, which started with the Find X3 in August. The X3 performance that was gorgeous was enticing buyers. Maybe it wasn’t just the chipset and some nifty design. Maybe it’s the second screen detachable or that those ultrasonic fingerprint sensors. Anyway, the results were the same: a continued increase in sales numbers. They seem to be focusing more on the higher-end phones, which might explain the increase of shipments for the Q3 quarter (2Q18: +25%) because they see a future where high-end devices are the ones which require something great to sell.
